The owners of this 1960’s home had a vintage kitchen that needed some long overdue modernization while keeping the period vibe. The solution involved moving the appliances around to create a better flow and the addition of a dry bar with large pantry storage. The choice for ribbon cut matched mahogany on the cabinets came from the mahogany doors and trim that are throughout the home. Bespoke cabinets feature hidden lighting and outlets for an uninterrupted backsplash. Terrazzo tile floors and white quartz countertops with a subtle pattern allow the quartzite backsplash to shine in the bar area. The former dining area is of more use to the owners for entertaining friends in the kitchen while enjoying a cocktail.
